2. Proin is a proven medicine for puddle control
Proin can help your dog take control.
Recommendation and Features
Proin has a very active ingredient named Phenylpropanolamine which is a sympathomimetic amine. This is very helpful in treating incontinence as it improves the tone of the sphincter muscles, specially the bladder neck and the urethra.
The Manufacturer of Proin is PRN Pharmacal
Directions
Dosage of Proin varies from dog to dog so consult a veterinarian to find out the adequate amount for your own dog. Usually it is administered two to three times in a day. Important thing to note down is that once the treatment starts it should be completed so as to prevent any relapse.
Ingredients
As discussed earlier the main ingredient is Phenylpropanolamine
Side Effects
Some of the common side effects of Proin are seizures, having difficulty in urinating and having pale gums. But in rare cases it can also cause excitability, hypertension, restlessness, anorexia, irritability or decreased appetite. If Prion is given along with NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatoriy drugs), or, amitraz (which is the active ingredient of the a flea control product canine Promeris and Preventic tick control collar), or with reserpine, tricyclic antidepressants or ganglionic blocking agents then the chance of hypertension increases by manifolds.
Also in case of pets suffering from prostatic hypertrophy, hypertension, glaucoma, diabetes, cardiovascular disorders and mellitus it can cause some serious ill effects. It should be properly administered and any conjunction with other sympathomimetic drugs such as epinephrine or ephedrine should be strictly avoided.

Our German Shepherd has been on Proin for 5 years and went from 1 tablet a day to 3 as the vet prescribed. For some reason the problem worsened over the years. But with proin, the problem stops. This pet medication has been a lifesaver for our house, furniture, carpet, etc.

My dog started “peeing the bed” literally in her sleep. It was terrible. We went to see a vet, and the vet prescribed Proin. We gave a small dosage and worked our way up until we noticed results. Now the problem stopped. Amazing!
